About me
For years, I struggled with a range of unexplained health issues—hair loss, skin rashes, body aches, brain fog, digestive distress, and nutritional deficiencies - to name a few! Despite seeking medical advice, I often felt dismissed, repeatedly being told my symptoms were insignificant . I was finally diagnosed with Coeliac Disease and Gilbert’s Syndrome, where I felt I was simply left to ‘get on with it’.
When going gluten free, I wish I had known the importance of a well balanced diet. I always felt that my diet was good but to say I was naive, is an understatement. I had no idea how much my health would be impacted without fully understanding the true meaning of a balanced diet.
Additionally, I was forever experiencing, never ending nutritional deficiencies, causing relentless symptoms - sound familiar?
Battling hormonal imbalances (thank you Gilbert Syndrome) only added to the frustration, making me feel like I was constantly at war with my own body. When conventional medicine (and medical professionals!) failed to provide clarity, I turned to the science behind nutrition and natural healing. I immersed myself in researching clinical papers, understanding the root causes of my symptoms, and applying what I had learned, to support my body naturally.
After 10 years of training, learning, and self-experimentation, I was able to re-balance my health and today, I am finally symptom free.
My Training and Qualifications:
I am a qualified and certified Nutrition Coach. I undertook my RSPH Qualification (certified by the AFN) in Nutrition, Advanced Metabolism and Immunity - all whilst still working within my long term senior management role = Tired!
And because I LOVE to learn, I have a further CPD qualification in Nutrition for Women. This is an area of nutrition that I feel equally passionate about, primarily due to the lack of support, funding and research in Women’s Health. I lost count at how many times I was told my symptoms were likely just ‘because you’re female’ or you might be going through a bit of a ‘hormone change’. So I suffered on, thinking it was my ‘normal’.
Does all this sound too familiar?
Are you ready to finally feel like ‘you’ again?
